CHRISTMAS POEM

Winter at RR...

THIS WINTER AT REFUGE RR

Winter is almost here, it surely will come,

so let us explain why we, at Refuge RR, need a tidy sum:

First, to keep 400 animals well fed, comfy and warm

cause snow, ice and cold, the land will transform.

They need winter horse blankets and plenty of extra feed

to this, we volunteers all mutually agreed.

Yes, costly farm equipment is a necessity too,

but dear friends, we can’t do all of this, without help from you.

We have very large animals and some are very small.

Please be reassured, we love and provide well for them all.

Horses, cows, pigs, rabbits, dogs and cats

Oh such a variety, we can’t list them all!

Most were rescued from abuse, neglect, abandonment and even death

but they are here now, safe and well cared for,

so no need to hold your breath.

We have so many animals, we cannot take in any more

but did you know we are still helping many others,

find good forever homes and a lot more?

We’ve managed up to now, but so many funds it does take

so please everyone, won’t you all donate

to a very good cause, now is the time, for the animals’ sake?

The Holiday Season is also very near

so let us wish you good health and Season’s cheer.

But please don’t forget our four-legged friends;

they have suffered much, so let us be generous and make amends.

for this, we so very much, appreciate.
