Come and take part in Dale Eaglesham"s 5th annual "Comics for charity"event.

When: May 19 th and 20 th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Where;  Main street in Vanlek Hill, Ontario at the May show festival ( halfway between   Ottawa and Montreal)

What; Autographed sketches, posters, very limited edition prints, raffle for a free sketch, comics and trades at bargain prices ....and a gorgeous little victorian town to explore.

Why; To support Refuge RR , a local animal sanctuary that cares for approximately 400 animals of all kinds ,including some 70 horses.

So come and have a look at Dale's art ,you will want to add one to your collection or perhaps offer one of his sketches  as a gift to somebody special. It's a great spring festival with many other vendors and shops.

We would lke to thank Mayfair Tavern , Deborah and her team for a fantastic fundraiser last Saturday night.The evening was a huge success and everyone trully had a great time.We also would like to thank all the volunteers who helped and all the folks who donated prizes towards the event , without you such an evening cannot happen.

Saturday April 28 2012 was our annual "vet day " and it was a huge success  . We would like to thank  the vets and the students from Ste-Hyacinthe animal hospital, Pfeizer Canada  for all the vaccines and dewormers and for  Claude who had hot coffee at all times with many muchies for everybody throughout the day , all the volunteers who came out to the refuge to help with the handling of the animals , could not have done it without them and last but not least , big thank you to Judy Miller for organizing the entire day and keeping the medical files for all the animals in perfect order. It trully was a great day and our beloved four legged friends were on their best behavior as always .

Big Thank you to  Richard and staff at Global store in Hudson. They occasionally donate some much needed dog food and cat food which we are very grateful for .

Also, big thank you to  Vanessa and her staff at Global store Pierrefonds , they recently raised enough money to purchase 10 large bags of horse feed and will continue their fundraising efforts for the animals at Refuge RR .
