Thank you so much to Chelsea Brown, an outgoing compassionate teen who organized a group of girls to help fundraise for the animals at Refuge RR. Brittany Young and Chantal Gagnon helped Chelsea set up booths at Food Basics East end , Giant Tiger, The Brick and Als Hand Car wash. Also ohter volunteers who helped out were , Kim, Sarah, Lisa, Tisha, Jen, Jesse and Sara.
These incredible girls manage to fundraise over $ 1,000.00 ! Bravo to all of you for your compassion and efforts ! May you be an inspiration to others...

Please follow in the footsteps of our friend Bob Timmons, artist and advocate for "Sea Sheppards". He has been behind Refuge RR ever since he discovered us .Bob started a campaign on his own in the hope to raise a large enough amount for us to be able to dig for a new water well. We have been fundraising for a long time now regarding this issue but we still have not been successfull to raise the large amount needed .We are stuck in a vicious circle with having to purchase large amounts of water per week. Shortly after asking some help to pay Galahad's veterinary fee, a donator who would prefer to stay anonymous, offered to take care of it.
We would like to thank her from the bottom of our heart for her generous help.
She asked us to write this message. Here it is:
It is not necessary to ruin yourself to help. What is important is to give. If each of us gives a few dollars, at the end it COUNTS. Encourage your children to participate in donating a few cents or even $1, this way they will learn to share and help the less fortunate. The animals at the Refuge greatly need your support. PLEASE, give a contribution, even the smallest amount. The Refuge and its residents will really be grateful.

This is Galahad. He is a 28 year old Standardbred gelding who has been sadly given up by his loving owner who is going through a desperate time in her life. Unable to pay for his boarding fees , the stable owner has neglected him and was going to ship him to slaughter if the fees weren't paid. Refuge RR always tries to help all horses, not just the ridable ones ,we were able to put Galahad in one of our finest foster homes on 150 acres of pasture. He had to have extensive dentistry work done as his teeth were so bad he wasn't able to close his mouth. During his recovery he will stay in our foster home , come November he will be going with his new family .
Refuge RR is looking for support to help pay for Galahad's veterinary bills which cost $ 400.00 , please help us help Galahad.

If you would like to learn how to bring out the best in yourself and your horse AND help the Refuge at the same time, Michael Bevilacqua, author of ‘Beyond the Dream Horse : A Revealing Perspective on Attaining a True Relationship’, invites you to a 2-day workshop giving you the opportunity to do both.
How? For each person who will mention Refuge RR when signing up and attending Michael’s June 28 & 29, 2012 workshop, $100 will be donated to the Refuge. As you know, any amount of money is more than welcome so, REMEMBER to mention Refuge RR when you will register.

Thank you to the talented Dale Eaglesham ! We would like to thank Dale Eaglesham and his sweet wife Louise for their loyalty and generosity towards Refuge RR . This is the fourth year where they have donated their charity efforts to us. We are so gratefull and thankful for it.Due to the large number of animals under our care, we are always in need of funds . Dale and Louise are true supporters of the Refuge .
