During the demo that was held in Masseuville Quebec at the notorious Richelieu horse slaughterhouse (see http://www.defendhorsescanada.org/ChambersofCarnage.html) protesters managed to save Joe( formerly known as Macho ) from having his skull blown out...Why was he going to be killed ?  Simply because his owner did not want to pay for his castration...even though he made money breeding this magnificent being. He figured he would make a little bit more money on his brutal tortured death.

Well we are happy to say Joe is now safe under the care of Refuge RR .However, this stunning 5 year old Canadian needs a permanent home a.s.a.p. He needs someone who knows how to handle a newly gelded horse. He is very sweet but does not know what outdoor freedom is all about.
